Richard Wiley is a professional storyboard, layout/peviz and illustration artist for feature films, games, and miscellaneous projects. He currently works at Dreamworks Animation. LLC as a Rough Layout/Previz Artist on Trolls 3.
Richard recently completed extensive previz work on The Boss Baby: Family Business and has contributed to the completion of Bad Guys and Puss n' Boots: The Last Wish. He is an approved storyboard artist for Dreamworks Animation and is waiting for casting information.
Richard studied animation and film at Ringling College of Art and Design and graduated in 2016. His thesis film "The Bookworm" was selected as a 2016 Best of Ringling senior film and won the top award at Worldfest - Houston International Film & Video Festival. It was also a finalist in 4 other film festivals and an official selection at 9 additional festivals. After graduation, Richard started his career at The Third Floor, Inc. as a shot creator/previz artist. His first project was Avengers: Infinity War. After that he went on to work on Avengers: End Game, Jumanji: The Next Level, Pokemon Detective Pikachu and Disney's Jungle Cruise. In 2020, he successfully completed the Dreamworks Storyboard test in which he wrote and created an original Puss n' Boots adventure, completed storyboards and pitched to Story Department Heads.
In his personal time, he is an avid digital artist and, when he can, does illustration work. He is also a fan of video games and everything History, Fantasy, and Science Fiction. He is a loving Husband and Father and currently resides in the Greater Los Angeles area.
