My name is Richard and I am a graduate (May 2016) of the esteemed Ringling College of Art and Design where I studied Computer Animation. Through this program I have become highly proficient in the entire pipeline of animation -- from conceptualization and design to storyboarding to the complete 3D process (modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering -- even cloth simulation).
Upon graduation, I have been doing previs/layout and postvis work at The Third Floor Inc. for the past 2 years. I had the opportunity to do extensive work on Avengers: Infinity War as well as numerous other unannounced feature films.
My time at Ringling culminated in my senior thesis animated short film "The Bookworm." It was selected by the computer animation faculty to be a 2016 Best of Ringling senior film (1 of 12 selected out of a pool of ~45 films). It won a top award at Worldfest - Houston International Film & Video Festival, was a finalist in 4 other film festivals and an official selection at 9 additional festivals. You can view it by navigating to the "Thesis" tab above.
